Epta sponsors the second edition of the #WorldRefrigerationDay globally with the Life-C4R project. A day established on June 26 in honor of William Thomson, creator of the Kelvin scale and among the fathers of thermodynamics. The aim is to sensitize industry operators and public opinion towards sustainable management of the entire cold chain: from the refrigeration sector, to that of air conditioning and heat pumps.

The initiative, which once again boasts the support of UNEP (United Nations Environment Program), draws the attention of the entire Planet to the significant role that the HVACR sector plays, every day, in multiple aspects of people's lives, tracing the refrigeration route of the future, increasingly natural and sustainable.

A philosophy in line with the leitmotiv of the three-year Life C4R - Carbon 4 Retail Refrigeration project of Epta, co-funded by the EU, with the aim of demonstrating that it is possible to completely replace HCFCs and HFCs with transcritical CO2, to reduce the carbon footprint and at the same time also achieve a significant reduction in consumption.

Also this year, to celebrate the anniversary, the Centro Studi Galileo will organize, in collaboration with ATF - the Association of Italian Cold Technicians - a leading webinar event, entitled "The Latest Technologies in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration at the time of post Covid-19 ". On the virtual stage of the event, some of the most authoritative Italian voices in the HVACR sector will alternate, including Francesco Mastrapasqua, Epta's Advocacy & Regulatory Affairs Manager, with a speech on the theme "Solutions for sustainable commercial refrigeration with zero climate impact."
A unique opportunity to focus attention on the important goals achieved by Epta in the development of technologies that look to tomorrow, to help direct the sector towards green alternatives. A real "sustainable revolution" carried out by Epta in order to introduce ingenious solutions with natural refrigerant on the market, in any climatic zone.
