6th pilot project

19-Nov-2021

DAAS, a company of Gruppo Epta that provides turnkey retail projects in Romania, signs a new installation part of the Life C4R Programme with the renewal of a store in Timisoara, at the Aushopping Sagului shopping centre.

The core principles of the retailer's philosophy are to offer quality products, make shopping even more pleasant inside a welcoming store and contribute with concrete actions to the protection of the environment. DAAS has been able to respond in full with its restyling project.

The innovative system proposed comprises the Epta Eco2Large pack with transcritical CO2 of medium and low power, with FTE 2.0 on board, pre-tested and pre-installed. Patented, simple, efficient and reliable technology, FTE 2.0 is a key element of the Life C4R Project - Carbon for Retail Refrigeration – promoted by the Group and co-financed by the European Union according to grant agreement n° LIFE 17 CCM/IT/000120, designed to show that it is possible to replace HCFCs and HFCs with transcritical CO2 everywhere.

FTE 2.0 is ideal in all weather conditions and thanks to the system of heat recovery, remote monitoring by Eptaservice 24/7 and to the Costan chilled cabinets selected, it reduces the carbon footprint of the store.
The system ensures a 10% reduction in consumption and a saving of 78,239 kWh/year compared to a corresponding one with R404a, equal to 84,759 fewer washing machine cycles/year and 3015 less small cars in 10 years (considering 10,000 km travelled per year).

Furthermore, the client particularly appreciated the innovative design of the Costan cabinets chosen by DAAS, able to merge technology, aesthetics, efficiency and better visibility of the products.

The solutions installed include the chilled cabinets of the GranFit family: the vertical GranBering to enhance the frozen products, the semiverticals with cascading shelves open GranSibari and closed GrandValdaj for the beverages and the vertical closed GranVista Next to furnish the aisles of fresh products. Furthermore, for an even better preservation of the products and energy saving, DAAS has proposed the Closed version of GranVista Next for the rear cabinets in the serve-over area of cured meats and cheese.
The protagonists of this area are also the Velvet Design, with white lacquered front, adopted for the entire space: in addition to cold cuts and dairy products, they also host gastronomy and ready-to-eat dishes, in the Hot Table module.
